Joey Yung pushes away 10 million for a 'half naked' new film
As HK's Pop Diva, Joey Yung have not been in many film productions, but the majority of her previous roles have left a deep impression on viewers, including the 'Silly Madam' in Crazy n' The City and the 'Tomboy' in Demi-Haunted. To create a true breakthrough for Joey in the film scene, EEG tailored a new film DIVA for the diva. The film is directed by Heiward Mak. Although Joey play herself, a diva, but it's not relaxing at all because she will have to sacrifice her pure image and appear half naked on the big screen. Lead actor, Hu Ge will be giving Joey a reckless massage on her jade back. As a pop diva, this is a huge challenge for Joey.
Earlier Joey announced she wanted to reach a higher level in the film scene, so this time she cannot neglect her 'half naked' special mission. Recently, Joey has already started preparing herself by doing facial on her back and even turned down 8 figures (~10million) job offer in order to take on this new challenge.
Joey was asked if she feels very nervous going half-naked on the big screen for the first time? Joey said: "We haven't started shooting yet and I'm already really nervous. Mentally, I have really put in a lot of effort to prepare for the shoot. In fact, Hu Ge prepared more than I did. He especially went to learn about massage and even told me I could just relax."
When asked if she's getting an attractive paycheck for this film that she's even willing to turn down jobs worth 8 figures? Joey said with mischief: "I've always been about the heart, not about the money." Joey with her natural beauty, 'boasted' that she doesn't need to do any special slimming for the half-naked appearance: "I am already very fit. As a singer, I don't want to be too fat."
The day before, DIVA officially started shooting. Producer and actor, Chapman To was often on Weibo updating the progress. In the film, Joey will have an affair with Hu Ge. Although it is the first time he's collaborating with Joey, the two quickly got familiar and would often secretly take photos together on the set. Looks like they got a lot of chemistry.
